How to extend the service life of infrared heating lamps?
Control the working environment
Temperature and humidity: Try to install infrared heating elements in an environment with relatively stable temperature and humidity. The ideal operating temperature range is generally between -10℃ and 40℃, and the humidity is maintained at 40% – 60%. If the ambient temperature is too high, it will accelerate the aging of the filament; too high humidity may cause moisture inside the shortwave infrared heating lamp, causing problems such as short circuits.
Cleanliness: Keep the environment around the infrared halogen heating elements clean to avoid the accumulation of dust and impurities. Dust will affect the heat dissipation of the short wave infrared heater lamp infrared halogen bulb, increase the temperature inside the quartz tube heating lamp, and thus shorten the service life. You can regularly use a clean soft cloth or brush to clean the surface and surrounding areas of the lamp. For some dusty industrial environments, you can also install an air filter.
Avoid corrosive substances: Prevent the infrared heating lamp halogen bulbs from contacting corrosive gases and chemicals. If used in places where corrosive substances exist, such as chemical plants, the lamp must be sealed or isolated for protection.
Correct installation and use
Installation method: Install correctly according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Make sure the short wave quartz tube halogen lamp is firmly installed to avoid damage due to vibration during use.
Avoid frequent switching: Reduce the number of frequent switching of the heating lamp. Each time it is switched on and off, the filament will experience thermal shock, which will cause damage to the structure of the filament. If possible, try to keep the heating lamp in continuous working state.
Reasonable power setting: Set the appropriate power according to actual needs. Do not use the industrial infrared heat lamp for a long time when it exceeds the rated power, because too high power will make the filament temperature too high, accelerate the aging and damage of the filament. You can use a power regulator to accurately control the power of the heating lamp so that it works within the appropriate range.
Regular maintenance and inspection
Appearance inspection: Regularly inspect the appearance of the Shortwave IR Heat Lamps industrial infrared heat lamp to check whether the PET Blowing Machine Parts Heat Lamps is damaged, deformed, discolored, etc. Pay special attention to check whether the filament is broken or obviously thinned. If cracks are found on the surface of the Halogen IR Lamps, it should be replaced in time, because cracks may cause uneven heat dissipation and may also allow dust and moisture to enter the interior of the lamp.
Performance test: Perform performance tests regularly, such as using an infrared thermal imager to detect whether the temperature distribution of the Infrared Quartz Heating Element for Blowing Machine is uniform, and judging whether the lamp is working properly by measuring the heating efficiency. If the heating efficiency is significantly reduced or the temperature distribution is uneven, it may be due to aging of the filament or damage to the reflector cover and other parts, which need to be repaired or replaced in time.
Cleaning and maintenance: Clean the reflector cover and lampshade of the Quartz Infrared Halogen Heating Element regularly. Cleaning the reflector cover is particularly important because dust and dirt will affect the reflection effect of infrared rays and reduce heating efficiency. You can use a mild detergent and soft cloth to clean the reflector cover, then rinse it with clean water and dry it before installing and using it.
