How to choose the power of infrared heating lamp suitable for blow molding machine?
According to the production speed and heating time requirements of the blow molding machine
Production speed: On high-speed blow molding production lines, the preforms stay in the heating zone for a short time. For example, when the production speed is 60-100 preforms per minute, each preform may only be in the heating zone for 5-10 seconds. In order to make the preforms reach the right temperature in such a short time, a higher power is required. Typically, for such a high-speed production line, the heating power per square centimeter may need to reach 1.5-3 watts to ensure that the preforms can heat up quickly.
Heating time requirements: If there are strict restrictions on the heating time of the preforms, such as requiring the preforms to be heated from room temperature to 100-140℃ within 3-5 seconds, this requires strong heating power. At this time, the heating power per square centimeter may need to be increased to 2-4 watts, depending on the material and size of the preforms. On the contrary, if the heating time is more ample, such as 15-20 seconds, the power can be appropriately reduced, perhaps around 1-2 watts per square centimeter.
Combined with the distance and layout between the nfrared lamp ir heater halogen emitter and the preform
Distance factor: The distance between the infrared replacement heating element and the preform will affect the choice of heating power. Generally speaking, the closer the distance, the higher the radiation intensity received by the preform. If the heating lamp is close to the preform, such as between 5-8 cm, the required heating power can be relatively low. But if the distance is far, such as 12-15 cm, in order to ensure that the preform can get enough heat, the power of the heating lamp needs to be increased. For example, when the distance increases from 8 cm to 12 cm, the heating power may need to be increased by 30%-50%.
Layout influence: The layout of the halogen IR heating lamp in the blow molding machine is also important. If the Quartz Infrared Halogen Heating Elements are evenly distributed around the circumference of the preform and are reasonably arranged in the axial direction, the heat distribution will be more uniform, and the appropriate power can be selected according to the overall layout density. However, if the layout is not reasonable, for example, the preforms in some areas are not heated enough, it may be necessary to increase the power of the replacement infrared halogen lamps in these areas or increase the number of Infrared Heat Lamp Replacements to compensate.
