Maintaining and servicing the infrared heating lamps on the blow molding machine is essential to ensure their normal operation, extend their service life and ensure the quality of the blow molding. Here are some specific maintenance and servicing methods:
- Cleaning
Regut regularly: During the use of infrared quartz heating elements, dust easily accumulates on their surfaces. Dust absorbs part of the infrared rays and reduces heating efficiency. The surface of the heating lamp should be gently wiped with a clean, soft, dry cloth regularly (recommended at least once a week) to remove dust. - Check performance
Check the light emission regularly: During daily inspections, observe whether the heating lamp emits light evenly. Uneven light emission may mean that the filament is damaged or there is a problem with the reflector inside the lamp. The light emission status of the heating lamp can be observed at a safe distance while the equipment is running. If there are areas where there is no light or the light emission is significantly weakened, the shortwave infrared heating lamp should be further checked or replaced in time.
Check the power output: Regularly (recommended once a month) use professional power detection equipment to check whether the power output of the heating lamp is within the normal range. Changes in power may affect the heating effect of the preform. If the power output is lower than normal, it may be caused by aging of the short wave quartz infrared lamps or poor electrical connection.
- Electrical connection maintenance
Check the wires and plugs: Check the wires of the tungsten halogen heating lamp regularly for signs of damage, aging or short circuit. Check whether the plug is plugged in tightly and whether the socket is loose or corroded. If the outer skin of the wire is found to be damaged, the wire should be replaced immediately to avoid the risk of leakage. - Reasonable use
Avoid frequent switching: Frequently turning on and off the halogen quartz heating lamp will cause greater thermal shock to the filament and shorten the service life of the heating lamp. During the production process, if the blow molding machine needs to be paused for a short time, try not to turn off the heating lamp unless the pause time is long (such as more than half an hour).
Control the working environment temperature and humidity:infrared halogen heating lamps can better perform and extend their life when working under appropriate ambient temperature and humidity.
- Replace aging or damaged parts
Replace the infrared quartz heating elements in time: When the infrared heat lamp bulb shows obvious signs of damage (such as filament breakage, serious uneven light emission, power drop exceeding the specified range, etc.), a new heating lamp should be replaced in time. When replacing the heating lamp, make sure that the model and specifications of the new lamp are consistent with the original lamp, including parameters such as power, wavelength range, and size.
Replace the reflector and other accessories (if necessary): The reflector of the heating lamp helps to focus the infrared rays on the preform and improve the heating efficiency. If the reflector is deformed, oxidized, or the reflectivity decreases, it also needs to be replaced in time. In addition, some auxiliary accessories related to the short wave IR heat tube, such as the lampshade, heat shield, etc., should also be repaired or replaced in time if they are damaged.
